Third-Party, Blameless took the Audience Choice: Best Play Award at the Theater Project’s Think Fast Online Short Play Award, 2025.
The actors were this time all cast locally, with Kelsey Rideout as Jane, Dan deMarbre as Michael, and Tim McKee as Mike. The play was written, produced, and directed by Andrew Riddles, who was nominated for Best Director by the judges.
The fifteen-minute version of the play relates the story of Jane, who gives an account of her marriage to Michael, examined through the lens of her chosen career field, the insurance industry. This emotionally difficult journey is set against the backdrop of a fender-bender between the vehicle in which she and her husband were travelling, and a car driven by the hapless Mike.
